Control Windows 7 with Gestures

It came to my attention that Germany-based Evoluce sells Kinect-based gesture control for Microsoft Windows 7 (since April 2011). There is a nice Youtube tutorial on how to use it:

  1. I don't understand what's the point of this product. What it does can be easily done by a wireless mouse.

  2. To me it's a precursor of possible future interface. True, it's inconvenient, imprecise, slow and just naively combines 3D gesture interface with 2D work table paradigm (Windows, that is).
But it shows new sensor's capabilities and it might inspire somebody to invent a new man-machine interface paradigm, potentially better than 30 year old Windows.

  3. I'm not sure that human vision angle (2°) is very suitable for 3D surrounding paradigms.
